The mountain formations in Sunnfjord are a good starting point for varied skiing experiences. The whole spectrum from challenging runs and steep slopes for enthusiasts and the experienced, to peaks and tours suitable for families and those with less experience.
The glaciers in the area provide plenty of snow and good conditions throughout the winter. The pictures above are from Bolsetnipa, which is a nice and easy hike with very nice views at the top.
Kjøsnes Feriehytter is a good starting point for mountain hikes in Jølster, and is only 25 minutes' drive from Jølster ski center
